A Perfect Day in Laguna Beach, California
A
Perfect Day in Laguna Beach, CA I grew up in California and love to go back
and visit my parents with the kids. If the weather is warm, I think a perfect
day would begin with a packed picnic and a drive to Aliso
Creek Beach, 31131 S. Pacific Coast Highway.
Spend a few hours playing in the surf, eat some lunch and shower off about
2:00, then head north on PCH to the city of Laguna Beach. You can drive by
the oldest house in Laguna Beach, built in 1883 of scrap wood from shipwrecks
and drift (154 Pearl Street), then park and get an ice cream cone, then wander
out to the tide pools.
For low tide info go to www.lblg.org —be
sure to find out when low tide is BEFORE you plan the day—if you get there
at high tide, you can’t explore! And remember to feed your parking meter!
This YouTube clip to give you a feel for the tide pools:
September-June, the Laguna Playhouse features a four-play children’s season.
